Hotel information
The first record of The Three Sisters merchant houses comes from 1362, and the hotel is able to trace all the owners of the building since then. Among them were guild elders, town councillors and burgomasters, who often travelled to faraway lands and thus first started the buildings’ association with foreign countries. In their new incarnation, the “Three Sisters” continue that tradition by playing host to guests from around the world.
The Three Sisters Hotel stands near the end of Pikk Street, Tallinn’s main artery in the Middle Ages. First paved in the 15th century, lively Pikk Street was where spices, meats and grains were bartered and sold amidst the clatter of horses’ hooves and the banter of citizens.
In more recent times some the hotel is proud to have provided accommodation for many famous names, including Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Toomas Hendrik Ilves (President of the Republic of Estonia), Horst Köhler (President of Germany), Sting and Lenny Kravitz.
Room information
Because of the buildings' 14th century origins every room in the hotel is unique in shape and size. What the rooms share in common is a rich host of luxury amenities, including a flat screen television with satellite TV, a DVD player and Bulgari bathroom accessories. All the elegant rooms also have Artisan furnishings. Stylish furnishings, period features and wooden floors.
Hypo-allergenic bedding available.
Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available.
There is one wheelchair accessible room.
Food & beverage
The hotel is renowned for its inventive cuisine and impeccable wine selection. The Three Sisters Restaurant is among the finest gourmet dining establishments in Tallinn, hailed as "a study in crisp luxury" by the local press. But this sun-filled restaurant, with large windows looking out over the hotel's courtyard, is also a place where you can have a relaxed late breakfast (until 18:00) or a leisurely lunch. Weather permitting you can also dine outside in the hotel's secluded courtyard (May to September) or on the terrace outside the hotel in Tolli Lane (June to September). If it gets cold outside the hotel can provide cashmere blankets to keep you warm.
Wherever you dine you can be sure that the hotel's sommelier, Jennifer Mitchell, will be on hand to assist you in choosing the perfect wine to accompany your meal. The hotel's cellar stocks over 300 wines, all available in the hotel's restaurant and rustic wine bar. Light dishes from the hotel's gourmet menu are also available in the wine bar, as well as enormous cocktails.
A private dining room, with a hand-painted 18th century ceiling, is also available for the most intimate meal.Area information
