The hotel building was built in 1907 and once housed the Heidelberger Aktienbrauerei. In 1999 the brewery moved into a modern building in Pfaffengrund. A refurbishment was made to the old building and architects built the hotel’s newer building, connecting the two buildings with a roof made of glass. The hotel houses 16 function rooms, all named after famous European cities. By combining the ‘London’ and ‘Paris’ halls, the hotel can house events for up to 120 people. Heidelberg’s convention centre is less than 1 km from the hotel.

All the hotel’s rooms are decorated in warm colours, have modern furnishings and carpeted floors. Disabled rooms are available.

The hotel's main restaurant offers a continental buffet breakfast. It is also open for lunch and dinner, serving an extensive selection of international cuisine from an à la carte menu; vegetarian and children's menus are also available. Breakfast is served from 06:00 until 10:00; lunch 12:00 until 14:00; dinner 18:00 until 23:00. Alternatively sample more traditional fare, including Bavarian and Swabian specialities, in the rustic atmosphere of ‘Bräustüberl’. Open for dinner only, Tuesday to Sunday. The hotel’s bars are open from 17:00 until 01:00. Room service is also available between 07:00 and 23:00.

River Neckar (200m) – take a boat trip around the beautiful forests, villages and towns of the Neckar Valley. Heidelberger Schloss (castle) (2 km) – this glorious 16th century castle dominates looks out, watchfully, over the town.
